Beck Porcelaneous Stoneware

This is a clay body that I have been working on since about 2017. It is slightly adapted from a body that I found a while ago but is far different from that at this point. It fluxes out nicely in soda and wood. It is my main clay body and one that I use with RF Studio Blue Celadon and RF Studio East Soda Slip in both wood and soda firing.

RF Studio East Soda Slip (Revised)

The RF Studio East Soda Slip is a slip from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls archives and one that I have been used since the beginning of my soda firing journey in undergrad in 2016. I am always amazed with the range in color that I pull from this slip in both wood and soda firings. I have used this in soda at ^6 and ^10 with superb results. I mix this slip to about a 1% milk consistency

RF Studio Celadon Blue (Adapted) ^10

The RF Studio Celadon Blue is a glaze from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls that I used all throughout my undergrad and continue to use as my liner glaze. It is a trusty, not runny glaze that works great for atmospheric firing.

Dark Wadding

This wadding that is rich in iron leaves a nice, dramatic wad mark where placed. Beware, it is subject to melt a little more than your class kaolin / alumina hydrate wadding. I have only encountered this a handful of times where the wadding fused to the ware.

Alumina Hydrate…… To taste if the wadding is fluxing out.
